Rhys Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay 2021
We went searching for a Chardonnay out of California that approached the quality we loved out of classic Burgundy, and we think we found it in Rhys, an excellent producer based in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where they take a very meticulous approach to caring for their 1.3 acres of vineyards.
Simply put - it’s a beautiful Chardonnay with racy acidity and a nice complexity that puts it in line with any Burgundy you’ll find in the same price, if not better.
